It is a great resource that every tarot “newbie” should have on their bookshelves and keep referring back to it again and again. Now, if you're interested in learning Tarot in more detail and/or to do readings to apply to life you may want to check out the Learn Tarot website or buy the book Learning the Tarot: A Tarot Book for Beginners by Joan Bunning. Unique, fun, easy-to-learn exercises teach you how to hear what the cards are trying to tell you. In fact, it is these practical exercises that are the real heart and soul of Tarot Face to Face, and they are as useful for teaching beginners the necessary techniques and approaches as they are to helping advanced readers learn new aspects of themselves and the Tarot, and shake themselves out of old, staid habits. This is the definitive guide to learning and mastering the Tarot quickly & easily. Learning the Tarot is a complete course on how to use the tarot cards for personal guidance. This Tarot book is ideal for beginners and anyone starting to learn Tarot will find it a very useful working tool. The Little White Book (LWB) is the small pamphlet that comes with most tarot decks. For learning tarot they are worse than useless. With so many options available, what is the best deck to learn with? The choice of Tarot decks that are available today is sometimes overwhelming for people who are just beginning to enter this strange world of divination. I'm currently interested in learning to read tarot cards and was wondering what is the best books. This is, at heart, a 324 page workbook for learning the Tarot. If this is your first deck, start with one of the beginner guides for tarot, this site lists several. The 19 lessons in the course cover the basics and then move gradu. Some provide interesting background information. This is not yet another book of Tarot card meanings. Imagine this: you're one of today's youth picking up a Tarot deck for the first time, eager to learn in a manner that you have become accustomed to. (And yes, I do differentiate between a workbook and a book that aims to present material in a more textual manner.) I have several quibbles with the presentation of this book, beginning with the use of clip art on the front and back… The site provides information on the book itself, a Tarot community with help, instruction, news, forums, and guest lectures by Tarot experts. Other fantastic books are Mark McElroy's Absolute Beginner's Guide to Tarot , as well as his book What's in the Cards for You?
